Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password, via our authentication provider (Supabase Auth).

Profile and household information. To generate recipes tailored to you, we collect: household size, cooking skill level, weekly grocery budget, dietary restrictions and dislikes, and which meals you'd like planned (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks). On plans that support multiple household members, we also collect the name and dietary preferences of each additional person you add.

Onboarding conversation. Messages you send during profile setup and later adjustments are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract the profile information above and to generate your weekly recipes. We do not use this conversation content for any purpose beyond building your profile and recipes.

Kroger account connection. If you connect a Kroger account, we store an encrypted authorization token (never your Kroger password) that lets us add items to your Kroger cart on your behalf. We also store your preferred Kroger store location and fulfillment method (pickup or delivery). We never see or store your payment information — checkout is completed entirely within Kroger's own app or website.

Recipes, ingredients, and pricing. We store the recipes generated for you, their ingredients, and — when you match ingredients to real products — the matched Kroger product and price. On our Pro plan, we additionally keep a history of ingredient prices over time so you can track price changes.

Subscription information. If you purchase a subscription, our payment processor (RevenueCat, via the Apple App Store or Google Play Billing) shares your subscription tier, billing period, and renewal status with us so we can enable the features you've paid for. We do not receive or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

Usage data. We keep basic records of app activity necessary to operate the service, such as which recipes you've selected and when your weekly recipe set was generated.

• Build and hand off a shopping cart to your connected Kroger account
• Manage your subscription and the features available to your plan
• Operate, maintain, and improve the app

How We Share Your Information

We share information only as needed to provide the service:

• Anthropic (Claude API) processes onboarding conversations and recipe-generation requests
• Kroger receives ingredient search queries and, when you choose to send a cart, the contents of that cart
• RevenueCat, Apple, and Google process subscription purchases and billing
• Supabase hosts our database and authentication infrastructure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Security

Kroger authorization tokens are encrypted at rest and are never exposed to the app directly — all Kroger API calls are made server-side. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access to your data is restricted so that you can only read and modify your own account's information.

Your Choices

You can update or delete your dietary preferences, household members, and Kroger connection at any time from within the app. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

MonsterCart is intended for use by adults 18 years of age and older. It is not directed at children or teenagers, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account or use the service. If we learn that we've collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it.
